We now look at time and what we expect from it differently. We now talk about real time information, about interconnected devices changing the way we see time. Time is not just about telling when something happened, but about synchronizing actions and coordinating entire systems.

In the health-care sector, IoT enables patient-physician interaction to be simplified through connected health monitoring devices. Doctors can now keep track of patients' health using wearable devices and monitor the changes instantly, thereby reducing emergency room visits. In sports, IoT is enabling better athletic performance through wearable technology that tracks sports performance data like heart rate, speed, caloric output, and more.

Preventive maintenance measures are essential as traditional hardware maintenance costs money. IoT enables businesses to move from reactive to preventive maintenance. One of the major concerns with the IoT is about privacy and security. With billions of devices being connected together, what can people do to make sure that their information stays secure?

Technology and IoT has benefited education considerably. It has created personalized learning, where students learn at their own pace and teachers can use the data to customize their teaching, ensuring every student learns effectively. Teachers can then use this data to tailor their lessons to meet individual students' needs.
