Correct Answer :

Option C

50%

Solution :

The correct answer is 50%.

Step 1: Define variables based on the given ratios and relationships.

Let the common ratio multiplier for male and female employees in Branch A be x.

Given ratio of male to female employees in Branch A = 7 : 10

Male employees in Branch A (MA)=7x

Female employees in Branch A (FA)=10x

The number of female employees in Branch C (FC) is 20% more than in Branch A:

FC=10x+(0.20×10x)=12x

The number of male employees in Branch C (MC) is six more than female employees in Branch C:

MC=12x+6

Step 2: Calculate the value of x.

Average number of male employees across all three branches = 39

Total male employees in all three branches = 39 × 3 = 117

Given, male employees in Branch B (MB) = 35

MA+MB+MC=117

7x+35+(12x+6)=117

19x+41=117

19x=76

x=4

Step 3: Calculate the number of female employees in each branch.

Female employees in Branch A (FA):

FA=10×4=40

Female employees in Branch C (FC):

FC=12×4=48

Female employees in Branch B (FB) are 25% more than in Branch C:

FB=48+(0.25×48)=48+12=60

Step 4: Find the percentage by which female employees in Branch B are more than Branch A.

Difference = 60 - 40 = 20

Percentage More=60-4040×100=2040×100=50%

Therefore, the number of female employees in Branch B is 50% more than the number of female employees in Branch A.
